Because you are alive,
everything is possible.

Thich Nhat Hanh

My Somatic Psychotherapy Practice

Our bodies have been here since birth, they’re here until our death;  they know everything that’s ever happened to us and record all of it. When we are in our brains, our logical minds can get confused and it can be overwhelming. I believe that slowing down and deepening into our bodies can help us to be more present to our bodies’ messages and lead us toward discovering our purest potential and ultimately our life’s purpose.

About

About Me

I work with children, families, adults, and couples, through a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, transitions, trauma, ADHD, PTSD, childhood, and other life challenges.

I have found that people benefit from different therapeutic modalities and methods to achieve their goals. Some of the modalities I find helpful in addition to Somatic Psychotherapy include EMDR, IFS, Gottman Couples Method, Mindfulness, and Play Therapy.

It is my goal to create a safe, supportive, and empathetic space to help you and your loved ones find healing and move from a place of struggle and pain to one of hope and positive change. My focus is to help you increase self-awareness and gain resources allowing you to live your life to its fullest potential.

Experience

In my first career, I spent many years in high tech where stress levels were high. Discovering mindfulness during that time was life-changing and helped me resource my mind, body, and spirit. After becoming a parent and observing the high expectations and stress levels of children and teens in schools, I founded a mindfulness business to bring the coping skills and relaxation benefits of mindfulness into Bay Area schools. To further expand that reach, I traveled the nation and parts of the world training educators, healthcare providers, and caregivers to integrate mindfulness into their lives and professions.

To further my understanding of the mind-body connection, I completed an MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology.

Today, I work with children, families, adults, and couples, integrating conventional and somatic psychotherapy and mindfulness into my sessions and seeing incredible results.
